Turmeric & Ginger Immune-Boosting Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup fresh spinach
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric (or 1 inch fresh turmeric root, peeled)
  • 1/2 inch fresh ginger root, peeled
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • A pinch of black pepper (to enhance turmeric absorption)
  • Ice cubes (optional for a chilled smoothie)

Instructions:

  1. Add all the ingredients to a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately, garnished with a sprinkle of chia seeds or a slice of ginger, if desired.
