Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
 - 1 ripe banana
 - 1/2 cup fresh spinach
 - 1/2 tsp ground turmeric (or 1 inch fresh turmeric root, peeled)
 - 1/2 inch fresh ginger root, peeled
 - 1 tbsp chia seeds
 - 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
 - A pinch of black pepper (to enhance turmeric absorption)
 - Ice cubes (optional for a chilled smoothie)
 
Instructions:
- Add all the ingredients to a blender.
 - Blend until smooth and creamy.
 - Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately, garnished with a sprinkle of chia seeds or a slice of ginger, if desired.
