Anti-Inflammation Tart Cherry Overnight Oats

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup tart cherries (fresh or frozen, pitted and chopped)
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients. Pit and chop the tart cherries if using fresh ones. Measure out the rolled oats, almond milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, honey or maple syrup, spices, vanilla extract, and salt.
  2. Combine Ingredients. In a jar or bowl, combine the rolled oats, almond milk, chopped tart cherries, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, honey or maple syrup, cinnamon, turmeric powder, ground ginger, vanilla extract, and salt.
  3. Mix Well. Stir the mixture well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  4. Refrigerate. Cover the jar or bowl and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4 hours.
  5. ServeIn the morning, give the oats a good stir. Enjoy cold, or heat in the microwave if you prefer warm oats.
