Turmeric Ginger Tea
Ingredients (Serves 2):
- 2 cups water
- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric (or 1-inch fresh turmeric root, sliced)
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for sweetness)
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- A pinch of black pepper (enhances turmeric absorption)
- Optional garnish: a cinnamon stick or a slice of lemon
Instructions:

Boil the Water:
Bring 2 cups of water to a gentle boil in a small saucepan.

Add Ginger and Turmeric:
Add the sliced ginger and turmeric to the boiling water. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

Strain:
Strain the tea into cups to remove ginger and turmeric solids.

Flavor It:
Stir in the honey (if using) and freshly squeezed lemon juice.
