Ingredients:
- 4 medium apples (such as Honeycrisp or Gala)
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Core the apples, leaving the bottom intact to hold the filling.
- Mix pecans, honey, cinnamon, and nutmeg, then stuff each apple with the mixture.
- Place apples in a baking dish, add water to the bottom of the dish, and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until tender.
- Serve warm as a festive, gout-friendly dessert!
